In support of online shopping

I've long preferred to do my shopping via the interwebz. Not only are "Black Friday" deals often a rip-off, with manufacturers putting out lower quality products specifically for Black Friday, and retailers artificially inflating prices so that they can give a discount and still sell their products for the regular price, but I genuinely hate people. Not all people, but easily a large portion of them.

Unfortunately, at least in the Seattle area, it seems that a lot of those people that I just can't stand absolutely love to do their holiday shopping at the Alderwood mall. Don't believe me? Well, you don't have to take my word for it.

I was at the mall on Friday and took the liberty of taking some pictures of the seas of automobiles that poured upon the shopping center.

It's not just the cars that bother me. There are clearly people that drive those cars, and all of them go to Starbucks.

Okay, so cars clearly cars can't get to the mall without people driving them...yet. Those two groups of pictures were obviously addressing the same issue. Those aren't the only problems, though. Not only do stores quickly run out, but even if they've still got the sizes and items that you want, you probably can't find them. Why? Because everyone sucks. Apparently, once you've touched something, it's original position becomes irrelevant.

Those are displays at the Gap store that once were thoroughly planned demonstrations of the product being carried. Those poor displays had been reduced to meaningless piles of clothes.

So, while you can waste your time and money fighting the hordes in your nearest shopping destinations, I encourage you to be a savvy consumer and make your purchases on your favorite stores' websites.
